We thought we would try sharing a “Throw Back Thursday” pic, so here it is! This photo of a Powell Custom kingwood piccolo with silver mechanism was taken back in 2004. Today, the kingwood Custom piccolos are available with a 14k gold mechanism, but grenadilla Custom piccolos are available with either a silver or 14k gold mechanism.
Super close-up on an Aurumite 9K Conservatory. You can really see the drawn tone holes with this photo! Does your flute have drawn or soldered tone holes? Not sure? If it’s a Powell, you can look up the specs online by the flute’s serial number: https://powellflutes.com/qclub/bible
